SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  This position will play a critical role in enhancing program quality and financial sustainability with HFS programs.  The Program Operations Integrator is a connector amongst HFS team members providing critical back-end information and data to program management teams to enhance quality and financial stability.  This position is part of the leadership team providing support on administrative tasks centering on strategy and change management.  This position involves detailed analysis, strategic planning, and collaboration with various internal stakeholders to ensure we deliver high-quality services while maintaining financial health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in program management, quality improvement, and financial analysis.
  • Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Communication and listening skills.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit industry best practices and standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using EHR and program management software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides management, supervision, and evaluation to a small number of behavioral health programs.
  • Responsible for initiating, maintaining and compliance of Medicaid contracts in both Iowa and Nebraska.
  • Maintain private insurance contracts and negotiate rates when necessary.
  • Research and resolve revenue cycle issues by assisting each department in overcoming revenue cycle operation interruptions.
  • Act as a liaison to bridge gaps between agency departments, encourage cross-functional problem-solving, and identify opportunities for synergy to drive organizational success.
  • Work with internal team to create dashboards to ensure program goals and financial strategies are aligned with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization.
  • Extract and transform EHR data for financial and billing analysis.
  • Assist team members in analyzing financial and quality scorecard indicators to ensure they are meaningful and centered on positive impact.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in program performance,
  • Assist in reviewing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends or outliers in financial data and address the issues promptly.
  • Examine program performance data, including outcomes and feedback from clients and other stakeholders, to identify factors contributing to successes and challenges.
  • Support team members in developing strategies to address gaps using the NIATx improvement process.
  • Provide feedback on researched best practices and industry standards which could be beneficial to operations.
  • When necessary, facilitate communication between programs and fiscal to ensure accuracy of budget assumptions, projections, and communication,
  • Review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends or outliers in financial data and address the issues promptly.
  • Review grant applications with more detail to ensure all requirements are completed, all expenses are included, and the application effectively communicates our vision/project/goal of the grant.
  • Assist on strategic initiatives that will have a long-term impact on program quality and financial stability.
  • Create, maintain, and share as appropriate, a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site or designated workspace.
