About this Opportunity:
As a Director of Wealth Tech Trading, you will oversee relationships between Orions Wealth Management Trading Team and its clients outsourcing their trade operations. Your role involves streamlining complex, multi-custodial trades through Orion as a single provider. Key responsibilities include managing multiple full-service trading desks, trading both curated and custom investment strategies, onboarding new firms, and overseeing the implementation and execution of Orion Custom Indexing. Additionally, you will participate in product development projects related to outsourced services. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.
For External Candidates:
Candidates must work in-office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week: Omaha, NE; Provo, UT; Idaho Falls, ID.

In this role, youll get to:
Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Wealth Tech Trading team, consisting of Orions legacy OCIO and Enterprise Trading teams
Assess and enhance outsourced product and custody offerings to create a best-in-class operations/service model
Work with executive leaders to align enterprise and advisor needs, ensuring successful process integration
Identify operational risks, assess controls, and recommend process improvements to mitigate risks
Assist Enterprise strategists and maintain effective relationships with custodial partners and fund companies
Oversee the creation, review, and processing of mutual fund and equity orders, including error reporting and trade corrections
Report on Best Execution and key performance indicators to ensure compliance and display departmental success
Manage hiring, training, and development of team members, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee corrective actions
Guide team members through coaching and real-time experiences, fostering professional development
Stay attuned to industry trends and market conditions to inform decision-making
Were looking for talent who:
Has working knowledge of major custodians (e.g., Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing) and their interactions with firms like Orion
Has a minimum bachelors degree in business administration or related field
Has a minimum of 7 years of large company trading or financial industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years in management
Has strong time-sensitive decision-making skills
Has current Series 65 license or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment
Obtains Orion Industry Certification
Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and works effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:
$123,491.00 - $196,279.00The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
