Multiple Positions - Perform lab tests as requested by physicians including in the areas of hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, serology, coagulation, and bacteriology. Perform specialized automated and non-automated lab techniques on samples according to policy and quality control procedures within established parameters. Serve as a resource person for problems involving patient testing or transfusion medication. Provide technical education and guidance to phlebotomists, MLTs and students by overseeing work performance in support of educational programs resulting in a continuous learning environment. Work effectively and safely as a team member, both within the department and organization-wide to provide quality service through communication, cooperation and collaboration. Maintain the flexibility required to adapt to lab needs as related to scheduling and perform job related clerical work.
