Now Hiring: NeMTSS Regional Lead 

Location: ESU #3
Employment Type: Full-Time, 220 Days

Educational Service Unit #3 (ESU #3) is seeking a NeMTSS Regional Lead to support school districts in implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for academic and behavioral success. This role provides training, coaching, and system development to enhance student outcomes across Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a member of the NeMTSS state-level team
Support school districts & ESUs in MTSS implementation
Provide training for educators, administrators, and community partners
Use data-driven strategies to align MTSS with district improvement goals
Maintain a resource library and stay up to date on best practices
Collaborate with regional teams & statewide stakeholders
Contribute to the NeMTSS website & professional learning initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

Master’s Degree in Education (preferred)
5+ years of experience in education or school district leadership
Strong knowledge of academic & behavioral interventions
Experience collaborating with ESUs, school districts, and NDE personnel
Excellent leadership, communication, and data analysis skills

Job Code:  7539 

Number of Days Worked Annually:  220 Days 

Department:  Student Services 

Immediate Supervisor: ESU #3 Assistant Director of Student Services

Staff Supervised:  None 

Essential Requirements:  

  1. No history of child abuse or negligence
  2. Master’s Degree in Education, preferred
  3. Five years minimum of professional and/or school district experience
  4. Knowledge and understanding of best practices in academic and behavior core instruction, evidence-based interventions and systems development 
  5. Experience in leadership and collaboration with ESU, school district, and NDE personnel
  6. Successfully pass required background checks.
  7. Regular and dependable in person attendance is required and is considered a condition of employment. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

  1. Participate as a member of the NeMTSS state-level team.
  2. Provide implementation support, facilitation, system development and assessment services to school districts and ESUs in the assigned region.
  3. Provide training opportunities for regional team members, school district, ESU and community professionals.
  4. Utilize data in collaboration with districts and ESUs following System Training, to develop targeted implementation support aligned with the district continuous improvement goals
  5. Maintain a MTSS Resource Library with current publications related to the field of continuous improvement through a MTSS Framework.
  6. Continuously deepen personal knowledge of evidence-based practices (instructional materials, strategies, interventions, assessments, and technology) that have been shown to improve outcomes for ALL students 
  7. Maintain awareness of new research and best practices around Multi-tiered Systems of Support. 
  8. Collaborate regularly with other NeMTSS Regional Team members across  Nebraska.
  9. Maintain a database of all contacts and training participants.
  10. Contribute to the enhancement of the NeMTSS Website.
  11. Demonstrate professional conduct and maintain confidentiality
  12. Pursue professional learning opportunities at the state and national levels as outlined in the NeMTSS grant.  
  13. Implement NeMTSS approved grant activities, keep detailed records of grant activities, submit written grant reports (summative and progress reports), and facilitate the NeMTSS grant application process.  
  14. Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.
  15. Communicate any concerns or needs to the Assistant Director of Student Services.
  16. Provide own transportation to fulfill responsibilities of position.
  17. Dependable and reliable attendance.  The assigned duties of this position may allow consideration of occasional/infrequent remote work with the approval of the supervisor. Remote work is subject to the remote work guidelines and conditions outlined in the job description. The supervisor may withdraw the remote work option at any time.
  18. Other duties as assigned. 

At Will Employment:  Employment with ESU #3 is not for any period of time, and employment may be terminated at any time at the convenience of the terminating party, with or without cause, and with or without notice.  Employment with ESU #3 is not governed by any express or implied contract of employment containing terms different from or inconsistent with those stated in this job description.  The terms of this job description may not be modified except in a writing signed by the ESU CEO.
