Candidates applying to this position must live within driving distance of the Scottsbluff, Nebraska and/or Ogallala, Nebraska.

This position is responsible for the retention of Government Program Accounts (500+) business. Effectively manages relationships with assigned customers and / or consultants with demonstrated leadership skills. Works directly with the groups to understand their benefits, attend open enrollment meetings, customer events, etc. Formulates and implements a business plan for each group that aligns with the Associations goals and objectives. This position will be accountable for retention and growth.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for retaining current BCBSNE customer base and identifying and executing on growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with peers across BCBSNE on a regular basis to establish best practices, consistency where appropriate, and accomplishment of overall business goals and objectives.
  • Helps clients understand and solve their unique business challenges.
  • Seeks to understand key elements of a clientâ??s business environment and provides feedback to management on market trends as represented by our clients.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelorâ??s degree in related field and/or three to five (3-5) years' work experience in client management, leadership, education, and project management

  • Current State of Nebraska Department of Insurance license in life and health, or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire date.

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% travel per month.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.

The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.

The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
