Dr. Dunaevsky’s laboratory is interested in understanding the neural mechanisms underlying behavioral impairments in neurodevelopmental disorders (i.e., Fragile X Syndrome). Taking advantage of multiple state-of-the-art techniques (e.g. multiphoton in vivo imaging, fiber photometry, EEG/EMG recordings, chemogenetic manipulation, and gene manipulation), the PI’s lab plan to interrogate glial and neuronal contributions to sensory hypersensitivity, motor learning impairments in sleep/wake associated with FXS. Duties involve experimental design, data collection, data analyses, and preparation of scholarly products. Scholarly products will include peer-reviewed publications, conference abstracts, extramural grant applications and progress reports. For consideration and to apply for this position, applicants must submit a current CV, a brief statement of research interests (one paragraph), and the names and contact information of three references to https://unmc.peopleadmin.com/postings/90883 Individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. |
