Oncology Physician Assistant

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients without same-day oncologist visit and a ssess patients experiencing chemotherapy adverse events (AEs)

• Provide assessments for walk-in patient and c over for providers on consult service by seeing their clinic patients

• Sign chemotherapy orders and dose modifications as directed and r efill prescriptions as needed

• Return patient calls escalated by clinic triage nurses/staff and determine the urgency of their needs

• Order NGS testing under provider direction

• Educate patients about chemotherapy and toxicities

Patient Load: Up to 8-10 patients per day, plus additional duties mentioned above

• Active, unrestricted IL license
• Active IL DEA and Controlled Substance License required upon start
• BLS required
• 1 year of clinical experience required in internal medicine, oncology, and/or hematology
