HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Columbus, Ohio.
Job Description & RequirementsTitle: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00-07:30), weekends required
Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy care to adult and geriatric patients in critical care, emergency department, Med/Surg, and PCU settings
Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and Client 860 ventilators
Perform ventilator troubleshooting, weaning, and extubation as clinically indicated
Administer respiratory medications via aerosol, nebulizer, MDI, trach collar, and T-piece
Deliver inhaled therapies including bronchodilators, steroids, nitric oxide, inhaled Flolan, and other critical care medications
Perform airway management including tracheostomy care, suctioning, sputum collection, and pulmonary hygiene
Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans
Respond to respiratory emergencies and support rapid response/code situations as needed
Float between campuses and units as required based on patient care needs
Accurately document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the assigned charting system
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams in a large academic medical center
Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings (preferred)
Strong knowledge of ventilator management and advanced respiratory modalities
Proficiency in medication delivery systems and airway management techniques
Ability to work independently on night shifts and adapt to floating assignments
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Previous travel experience preferred
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - required
Ohio State Respiratory Therapy License - required, in hand
BLS (American Heart Association) - required
ACLS - preferred
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - preferred
High School Diploma - required
